For your consideration Garrett Park Guitars presents this Lightweight 1966 Fender Telecaster in Olympic White

1966 Fender was in the 2nd year of ownership and in the new phase of CBS ownership, and already some changes were being made in the lineup. Fortunately the Telecaster remained, for the most part, the same as its pre-CBS cousins. The changes were subtle, but much of the goodness of the older Tele's was still there. 

This lightweight ‘66 is an excellent player with a decent amount of fret life.It weighs in at 6 lb 14 oz, and it's lightweight and well balanced. The condition is nice also, the Olympic White finish is crisp and unfaded, but is marked by a sizable ding on the face and several on the sides, just enough wear that you won't be afraid to take it out to your next gig. It also has attractive weather checking contributes to the vintage vibe!  There is a small chip at the base of the neck (shown in pic) that appears to be the result of over tightening the neck plate. This guitar has been upgraded with the "modern" wiring done by removing the mud circuit  (We can restore it if you like mud). The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan, holding the place of the original which is being rewound by Fralin & will be included.

Hardware & Neck Plate

F-Stamped Neck Plate: Serial number plates transitioned from the pre-CBS "L" series to a new style featuring a large scripted "F" logo stamped on the neck plate (rolling out through late 1965 into 1966).
Fretboard Markers: Pearloid dot markers (which replaced clay dots in early 1965) continued as standard on veneer rosewood fingerboards, and dot spacing at the 12th fret remained narrow. 
Pickups & Electronics
Grey-Bottom Bobbins: Production shifted further toward fully mechanized winding, coinciding with the widespread appearance of grey-bottom bridge pickup bobbins instead of the older black-bottom style.
Cosmetics & Finishes
Transition Logo: The headstock retained the gold foil "transition" logo with patent numbers rather than moving to the larger black CBS logo (which did not appear on standard Telecasters until late 1967). 
Finish: Guitars from 1965 and 1966 utilized traditional nitrocellulose lacquer, before the thicker polyester and polyurethane finishes became standard later in the decade.
