2012 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom Rosewood Maduro

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 2012 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom in "Maduro Brown."

The 2012 "Maduro Brown" was part of a limited run produced during a period when Gibson was having difficulty obtaining ebony for its Custom Shop instruments. As a result, these guitars were fitted with rosewood fingerboards in place of the traditional ebony, making them a particularly interesting chapter in the history of the Les Paul Custom. The Maduro Brown finish is equally distinctive and exceptionally rare. Dark and understated, it appears almost completely black in most lighting, revealing its deep tobacco-brown character only when the light hits it just right.

Electronics consist of a Gibson 490R humbucker in the neck position and a 498T at the bridge, wired to Gibson's vintage-spec configuration. This combination delivers the familiar range of tones expected from a Les Paul Custom, from warm and articulate neck tones to the aggressive punch of the bridge pickup.

Cosmetically, this example is in very good condition with honest play-wear throughout. The gold-plated hardware shows wear from use, with the bridge displaying the most noticeable finish loss, and there is also one small, round ding on the bass side of the body near the bridge (pictured in close-up). These signs of use are consistent with an instrument that has been played and enjoyed, while structurally it remains in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs.

All components are original, and this Custom Shop LP Custom comes complete with its original Gibson hardshell case and COA.
