For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1964 Gibson Country Western, a beautifully preserved and remarkably resonant vintage acoustic from the tail-end of Gibson’s acclaimed post-war era. With its solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, this vintage dreadnought offers the warmth, clarity, and projection that defined mid-’60s Gibson flattops.

This guitar appears to be all-original, with no cracks, breaks, or neck reset, and only faint, honest play-wear. Notable blemishes include a hard, bubbly residue on the upper bout of the back, likely from a removed sticker, and a former owner's label featuring his name and phone number — a charming relic of the guitar’s personal history that adds to its character without affecting tone or playability.

The Country Western’s square-shoulder dreadnought body, forward X bracing, and natural spruce top combine for strong projection and balanced tonal response. It performs beautifully with both pick and fingerstyle, making it an excellent choice for singer-songwriters or anyone seeking an authentic vintage Gibson acoustic with character, vibe, and history. The neck features a comfortable C-profile, and the guitar is set up with low action and excellent playability — no buzzing, dead spots, or need for a neck reset.

Original hardware includes Kluson Deluxe tuners, an adjustable ceramic saddle, bone nut, and original endpin. The original Country Western/SJ-style pickguard remains intact, and the binding, rosette, and inlays all reflect Gibson’s meticulous mid-’60s craftsmanship.

This 1964 Gibson Country Western comes complete with an aftermarket hardshell case in excellent condition, a vintage strap and capo, and the original bridge pins. For collectors and players alike, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire a playable, all-original mid-’60s Gibson dreadnought with genuine history, charm, and sonic personality.
