1962 Gibson ES-175TD – Near Mint, One Owner

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1962 Gibson ES-175TD.
Introduced in 1949, the ES-175 was Gibson's entry into the jazz scene , where it soon became a favorite among such luminaries as Joe Pass and Herb Ellis. In the succeeding decades, however, players as diverse as Steve Howe and Izzy Stradlin proved the 175 can also become a wild, dangerous rock-n-roll animal.
This example from 1962 is about as clean as they come, exhibiting far below-average play-wear and checking for its age. It remains 100% original down to its double-black PAFs, which feature fully intact decals. Coupled with the fully hollow body, these pickups yield a certain earthiness, but the famous bloom and three-dimensional quality that made PAFs the most coveted and copied humbucker is very much alive and well.
This guitar is a one-owner and was purchased new alongside a 1962 Fender Tremolux amp. It comes with its original Gibson hardshell case.
