For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this outstanding 1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior finished in its iconic original TV Yellow.

Introduced in the mid-1950s, the Les Paul Junior was conceived as a no-frills version of Gibson's flagship solidbody—stripped to the essentials and designed for maximum tone and responsiveness. By 1957, the Junior had fully come into its own, pairing a lightweight slab mahogany body with a single, ferocious dog-ear P-90 that delivered raw, immediate sound with exceptional touch sensitivity. These guitars have since become cornerstones of blues, rock, and punk, revered for their honesty, power, and unmistakable voice.

This example is in excellent condition, showing only honest play wear and natural patina consistent with age, with no major blemishes, cracks, breaks, or repairs. The original TV Yellow nitrocellulose lacquer finish has aged beautifully, exhibiting the warm glow and checking that collectors and players prize in a genuine late-’50s Gibson.

The mahogany neck features a classic late-’50s profile—substantial yet comfortable in the hand—offering excellent stability and an inviting, broken-in feel. The rosewood fingerboard remains clean and playable throughout, making this Junior as rewarding to play as it is to admire.

Electronics are entirely original and centered around the legendary Gibson P-90 pickup, delivering an authoritative, mid-forward punch with remarkable clarity and dynamic response. From snarling overdrive to articulate cleans, this pickup captures everything that makes vintage Juniors so endlessly inspiring. The straightforward control layout—single volume and tone—keeps the signal path pure and responsive.

All hardware remains original, including the wraparound bridge, contributing to the guitar’s lively acoustic resonance and direct, immediate attack when amplified.

This 1957 Les Paul Junior represents a rare opportunity to acquire a highly original, exceptionally well-preserved example of one of Gibson’s most important and enduring designs—equally suited for the discerning collector or the serious player seeking uncompromising vintage tone.

It comes complete with its original Gibson hardshell case.
