For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1956 Fender Harvard (5F10)—an early narrow-panel tweed combo with all original major component*, professionally serviced and ready to play. Weighing just 22 lbs, the Harvard offers exceptional tone, versatility, and portability well beyond its size.

This is a very early production example, serial number 0048, stamped on the chassis and written on the tube chart. Both are marked with an “FF” stamp, dating the amp to June 1956. The amp retains its original NYT 5396 power transformer, Triad 50246 output transformer, and original Jensen P10R speaker (code 220524) with original cone.

The amp features the correct early pre–ID badge faceplate, labeled simply “Fender,” as seen on early narrow-panel production. Original major components include the tweed covering, cabinet, back panels, grille cloth, baffle, chassis, pots, sockets, transformers, tube chart, and date-correct speaker.

The Harvard has been professionally serviced and is fully dialed in. It has received a high-quality recap, with new electrolytics installed inside the original Astron Minimite cardboard sleeves to preserve a period-correct appearance. Vintage blue Ajax molded bypass capacitors replace the original yellow Astrons for improved reliability and reduced noise; removed parts are included. Pots and sockets have been cleaned and deoxidized, and a grounded power cord has been installed.

The handle is a functional replacement, with the original included. This amp is very quiet at idle and delivers strong, dynamic output when pushed. It sounds excellent overall.

A correct, early, and well-maintained 1956 5F10 Harvard—compact, powerful, and ready to enjoy.
