For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1955 Jensen P10Q.
This is one of two EIA-matched P10Qs currently available at GPG. The pair was most likely installed in a Fender Super—the company’s primary 2x10 model at the time—probably the narrow-panel 5E4 version introduced in late 1955. You can find the other P10Q here.
This 10" alnico speaker carries a nominal impedance of 8Ω and measures 5.5Ω DC resistance. The EIA frame code is 220536 (36th week of 1955), and the original cone code (451052) is period-correct and consistent with mid-’50s production.
It is 100% original, including the frame, magnet assembly with bell cover, and cone. The label remains in excellent condition, retaining its vibrant blue text on a gold background, free of tears with only minimal blemishing. An ideal choice for vintage Fender tweed restorations or collector-grade applications, this speaker delivers warm lows, airy highs, and the smooth alnico compression that defines classic mid-’50s Jensen tone.
