1951 Gibson SJ (Southern Jumbo)

Garrett Park Guitars

This guitar is in our Hall of Fame Collection and is no longer available for purchase.

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1951 Gibson SJ

What a fantastic Gibson SJ! This one has the tone that only a vintage Gibson flattop can produce. This guitar shows the signs of its age and use. It has weather checking, and pickwear into the wood beside the soundhole and below the pickguard. Structurally it is very sounds and it plays amazingly with low action and no fret buzz. A Strap pin was added at some point (very functional), the bridge was reglued, and the neck was reset by Jim Cunningham. Comes with a newer hard shell case.
