For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this exceptional 1962 Fender Jazzmaster.

With its striking offset curves, innovative vibrato, and inimitable pickups, the Jazzmaster was Fender's premium offering upon its release. Despite falling short of their expectations, the model quickly became a favorite among session musicians and, overwhelmingly, on the surf scene. Since then, the Jazzmaster's popularity has grown across genres to such an extent that vintage examples, especially pre-CBS models, are routinely among the fastest appreciating guitars on today's market.

This sunburst Jazzmaster from 1962 is among the last outfitted with a Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard. Compared to the veneer board that followed, slab-board Jazzmasters offered a more robust hand-feel, warmer tonal properties, and an ability to accommodate refrets more easily. Their growing rarity over the years has made them the most desirable iteration of the Jazzmaster among musicians and collectors alike.

This particular example presents in very good condition with signs of use throughout, but below-average wear and checking for its age overall. Structurally, the guitar is in excellent shape with no issues or repair history. It retains all its original components, including the pickups and electronics, tortoiseshell pickguard, floating tremolo system, dual-circuit layout, and frets. It comes with its original brown Tolex case, tremolo arm, bridge cover, leather strap, and hang tags.
