1965 Fender Stratocaster - Lake Placid Blue

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1965 Fender Stratocaster in Lake Placid Blue.
Dated to July of 1965, this Strat is all-original save for the five-way switch (although the factory three-way is included in the case and may be reinstalled at the buyer's discretion). The Lake Placid Blue does show some wear, but nothing out of the ordinary for an instrument of this vintage. What sets this guitar apart (besides the color, of course) is the lovely rosewood fingerboard grain, which is beautifully figured, especially beyond the 12th fret. It also features clay dots, a mint green pickguard, and a transition logo.
This lovely LPB Strat helped to start Garrett Park Guitars. Our founder, Rick Hogue, bought this for his personal collection back in the '80s and ended up selling it as a means of kickstarting Garrett Park Guitars in 1990. And here it is, 30-odd years later, in our shop and sold back to us by the same fellow who bought it 35 years ago.
