1964 Fender Telecaster
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1964 Fender Telecaster.
There's mojo and then there's mojo, which this Tele has in spades. All-original (with the exception of the "modern" wiring) and worn to the comfy, funky condition you see here today, this thing is about as cool as it gets. (The original broken switchtip is included and now loaded with a replacement). As with any good Tele, it can handle anything you throw at it, from James Burton to Sly Stone and beyond, a real wonder given Leo Fender's bare-bones design, which consists of the classic three-way switch and volume and tone controls. If you're looking for an iconic guitar with tons of character and versatility, this one might just be for you.
Fender switched to "modern" wiring on the Telecaster in 1967. This change, often attributed to CBS, simplified the wiring process and reduced the number of capacitors used, leading to what is now considered the standard Telecaster wiring.
