1968 Fender Electric XII - Sunburst
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1968 Fender Electric XII in Sunburst.
One of Leo's last designs with Fender before selling to CBS, the Electric XII sports a pair of split pickups controlled via a 4-way rotary switch with different neck/bridge combinations, in or out of phase, for a wide variety of tones. This 1968 Electric XII shows a fair amount of player wear with no breaks or repairs and plays great! The neck is a rosewood-capped slim C-profile with low frets for quick movement around the fretboard. There is a 'SPECIAL' stamp on the heel and back of the headstock which were used by Fender to denote samples that were given to salesmen to sell on the road. The use of a Telecaster-style string-through-body design ensures that the guitar rings out with the full resonance of the strings to accentuate the natural chorus of this 12-string. This Electric XII comes with its original hardshell case and 1968 Fender catalog.
