1956 Gibson Les Paul TV Special

Garrett Park Guitars

This guitar is in our Hall of Fame Collection and is no longer available for purchase.

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1956 Gibson Les Paul TV Special..

This is an outstanding example of a '56 Gibson Les Paul TV Special. It came to us from the grandson of Harold Bedsaul (Pop Pop), who recently sold it to us. As you can see this guitar is clean and original. It also sounds like magic and plays incredibly well. Comes with a brown faux alligator soft case. Here is Pop Pops story..

Harold Lee Bedsaul And The 1956 Les Paul Special,

Here are the facts of the story that I remember PopPop relating to me:

"PopPop lived in the suburbs of Chester, PA in a borough called Boothwyn. As a teenager he had a job delivering eggs from an adjacent farm to nearby residents. One of his customers was Bill Haley's mom with whom he became friends as well as with her son, Bill. He and Bill had discussions about playing guitar as they were both interested in the same. One day when PopPop came to their house, Bill invited him in and told him about this new music group he was forming with a new "sound and beat" and asked PopPop to join the group as a guitarist.  PopPop unfortunately had to decline as he dropped out of high school and told Bill he had just signed up for enlistment in the Navy.  PopPop kept track of Bill and always wondered what life would have been like if he had been able to accept that offer."
