For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1963 Gibson LG-1.
Just in from the Eastern Shore of Maryland is this 1963 LG-1. It features a spruce top finished in classic sunburst, mahogany back, sides, and neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and the original Kluson tuners. The original bridge, which would have been plastic by '63, was swapped by a previous owner for one made of rosewood. It's obviously well made but will likely need a re-glue in the foreseeable future. (Please refer to the pictures for more details.) A strap button was also installed at the heel of the neck. These modifications have been taken into account in our pricing.
Otherwise, this LG-1 is in good shape, structurally and cosmetically. There are no breaks or cracks and only age-appropriate play-wear. There are a few dings and some weather checking, but overall this little flat-top is pretty clean. It comes with the original chipboard case.
