For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1965 Gibson SG Special.

This is one of the cleanest SG Specials we have ever had and one might even say near mint. Starting with the deep unfaded cherry red finish, moving on to the bright and firm vibrato arm, and finishing with a quartet of original control knobs hiding thumb cutters, this SG Special looks like trouble.

It has been set up for a high-octane playing style, with the bridge P90 screws brought up near the strings for extra power. The fretboard is well conditioned, with smooth and even frets allowing for playing with great speed and feel. This setup helps bring out the range of voicings available from the dual P90s whether you choose a pick, fingerstyle, or a hybrid approach.

Cosmetically, this guitar is in fantastic shape. A few minor marks that don't break the finish and the only indicators that this guitar is about to celebrate its 60th birthday.
