For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presets this 1986 PRS 24 Pre-Standard.
This guitar goes back to the early days when Paul Reed Smith was just starting out on West Street in Annapolis, not far from our shop now. This is a beautiful example of Paul's early models, featuring a mahogany body and neck with rosewood fingerboard & abalone/pearl crescent moon inlays (typical of early PRS models), 24 medium jumbo frets which are clean with no wear. PRS-embossed locking Schaller tuners, 1 5/8" nut width, & 25" scale length with a weight of 7 lbs 4 oz.
The electronics feature dual PRS humbuckers with ivory bezels, master volume & 5-way selector with black speed knobs and the classic PRS Sweet Switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
This is a great sounding guitar that feels just as nice. The neck is super comfortable to play anywhere on the fretboard. It is still in excellent condition with virtually no signs of its age outside of some mild patina on the bridge as well as some very minor surface scratching where you would expect it from nearly 40 years of playing. Simply a beautiful representative of PRS's storied past.
