For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1944 Gibson J-45
Just in is this 1944 Gibson J-45. Made by the Kalamazoo Gals during the war, the Banner headstock Gibsons are some of the most desired acoustic guitars ever built.
We recently purchased this J-45 from a collection of acoustic guitars and its pretty darn remarkable. It has a Spruce top, Mahogany back & sides, a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and of course the famous Banner headstock logo claiming only a Gibson is good enough.
Structurally this guitar is in very stable condition, it has a small crack repair on the back that was glued and the center seam is also reglued. It has scalloped X bracing and both the bridge, bridge plate and saddle are original. Frets have been replaced with taller frets for excellent playability. There was once a set list glued on the side and a halo remains where it was removed.
The sustain is amazing and the tone is too die for. Simply put this guitar could be the last acoustic guitar you'll ever buy, its that good.
Condition: Good
Case: Hoffee hardshell Case
