For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1965 Fender Princeton.

This exceptional Blackface-era example stands out immediately for its outstanding provenance and preservation: originally purchased new in 1966 near Washington, D.C., it saw only light use until 1970, when its owner went to college. Since then, it has remained in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment and presents today in excellent condition with 100% originality (except for the blue pilot light jewel), retaining all of its character as a remarkably well-preserved vintage amplifier.

In addition to this Princeton, the original owner also acquired a new 1967 Telecaster from Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center. This Tele (pictured) is likewise in exceptional condition and also available at Garrett Park Guitars. Interested? See it here.

A classic example of the AA964-era Fender Princeton, this amp delivers approximately 15 watts of quinteseential Fender Blackface tone—clear, dynamic, and highly responsive at manageable volume levels. Its circuit architecture is supported by the original tubes including a pair of 6V6 power tubes, a 7025 preamp tube, a 12AX7 phase inverter/trem oscillator, and a GZ34 rectifier, all contributing to its smooth headroom and natural harmonic breakup when driven.

The signal path is anchored by original Schumacher transformers (power transformer 606-5-08 and output transformer 606-5-02), paired with its original Oxford 10" speaker (model 10J4-3, date code 465-513) featuring its original cone and 8Ω impedance. Together, these components preserve the unmistakable voice of a mid-1960s Princeton—balanced, articulate, and richly musical, with the immediacy and touch sensitivity that define the era.

This amplifier remains structurally excellent with no breaks or repair history. The tube chart is fully intact, and the cabinet bears its original August 1965 production stamp (OH). Weighing just 24lb 10oz, it remains exceptionally portable while delivering fully intact vintage tone and presentation, making it a rare and highly desirable example of a fully original mid-1960s Fender Princeton.

This amp comes with its original cover.
