1960 Fender Stratocaster

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1960 Fender Stratocaster.

1960 was a great year for Stratocasters; tightening the refinements the instrument had received throughout the 1950's such as slab Brazilian rosewood fretboards, comfort-minded body contours, and the slim 'C' shape neck Fender would become known for. 1960 was also the first year Fender would use the 3-tone sunburst finish that has since become so ubiquitous.

This 1960 Strat is in stellar, original condition. It was purchased directly from the original owner whose parents bought it for him on his 16th birthday. He played it lovingly for a couple of years then came college, medical school, marriage and kids that became his priority and thus it was put in a closet for all these many years.

The body shows slight, minor player wear and the finish has retained a good amount of its red coloring. The black-bottom pickups carry all the sweet, silky tones that made Stratocasters so famous. The guitar is 100% original as it came from the Fender factory in 1960. As if the guitar itself wasn't sweet enough, it also comes with its original brown tolex hardshell case, leather strap, tremolo arm, bridge cover, polishing cloth, and hangtag! WOW!
