1959 Gibson PAF Wiring Harness Assembly

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this exceptionally complete and well-preserved 1959 Gibson wiring harness assembly, featuring a matched set of original PAF humbuckers and factory electronics.

Few components are more closely associated with the legendary sound of late-1950s Gibson electrics than the original Patent Applied For humbuckers. Revered for their extraordinary clarity, harmonic complexity, and dynamic responsiveness, original PAFs remain among the most desirable vintage Gibson components ever produced.

This pair features a zebra and a double-black that measure 7.93kΩ and 7.71kΩ respectively, reflecting a well-matched late-1950s wind pattern. The pickups comes with their original unsoldered nickel covers and M-69 rings, which are among the rarest hardware on the vintage market. 

Additionally, the electronics assembly features a matched set of original potentiometers dating to the 7th week of 1959 (134907), paired with the original Sprague “Black Beauty” capacitors. The harness retains its factory braided metal wiring throughout, preserving the authentic construction methods and signal path associated with Gibson’s golden-era instruments. Also included are the original output jack and some associated installation hardware, making this an unusually complete surviving assembly. (Please note: the pickup selector switch is not included.)

Examples of fully intact late-1950s Gibson harnesses with original PAF pickups, M-69 rings, matching Centralab pots, Black Beauty capacitors, and mounting components are increasingly difficult to source.
