1957 Gibson LG-1, Sunburst
Serial: U2279 22
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1957 Gibson LG-1 Acoustic in Sunburst finish.
1957 Gibson LG-1, in excellent sounding and playing condition, a lovely small bodied Gibson acoustic in great condition. It has signs of being played over the past 57 years with a few nicks & scratches, showing the usual signs of aging you would expect from a guitar that is nearly 60 years old. It has had two repairs, a hole in the back of the headstock was filled and also an interior crack that ran from the bridge to the top of the guitar.
The original sunburst finish is absolutely glorious ,(reminiscent of the 'bursts from the 30's & 40's), before the modern high speed finishes were introduced. It features a Brazilian rosewood bridge & fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, nitrocellulose tortoise shell grain pickguard & Kluson deluxe 3 on a plate tuners with replaced white buttons.
This "Concert" sized Gibson model is now a vintage classic - with sonic virtues like warm tone, projection, lead cut, and playability.
