1956 Fender Stratocaster
For your consideration Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1956 Fender Stratocaster
Terry bought this guitar in 1971 and used it in his blues band for years. It is a true survivor and at 69 years old it has a lot of history in it and lots more stories to tell. It has an ash body, bakelite parts and a round string retainer, all feautures of the earliest and some say most desireable maple neck Strats.
At one point Terry had installed another set of pickups, but the originals were reinstalled. There are extra holes in the pickup cavities but the guitar is 99% original. The switch tip, tremolo plate cover and tremolo arm were not present with the guitar but we have sourced correct OEM replacements.
