Meticulously built using a high-quality solid wood cabinet from Guitar Cabinet Outlet and finished in a beautiful lacquered tweed, this amplifier captures the spirit and sonic character of the classic 5E9 circuit that defined Fender’s late-1950s Tremolux. It offers the harmonic richness, dynamic touch sensitivity, and hypnotic tremolo that make the original so coveted—delivered here in a boutique, hand-assembled package that excels on both stage and in the studio.

While not a Fender product, this amp has been carefully voiced to deliver an uncanny approximation of the original’s tonal palette. In side-by-side A–B testing with a vintage 1960 tweed Tremolux, it was not a strict one-to-one recreation, but this amp certainly captured the essence of the original circuit beautifully. Featuring an Altec speaker, the amplifier offers a vibrant, singing midrange and a rich low end, with crisp highs and natural compression that respond fluidly to touch and pick attack.

The construction suggests it was assembled from a kit, yet every element—including the lacquered tweed cabinet and premium components—has been executed to a high standard. It functions flawlessly and sounds remarkable, making it an inspiring tool for players seeking classic tweed-era tone in a reliable, modern-friendly format. This is a handbuilt amplifier that offers both character and performance, marrying historical design inspiration with top-notch craftsmanship.
