1969 Marshall 1959 Super Lead 100

Marshall

This guitar is in our Hall of Fame Collection and is no longer available for purchase.

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1969 Marshall 1959 Super Lead 100.

This Super Lead is one of the last produced before Marshall introduced their serial code system that specified a year. With the white logo, curved lip under the control panel, and plexiglass plate covers this amp exudes vintage vibes.

With a long career supporting the work of a local band--The NoWhere Men-- (https://studiomike02.wixsite.com/myplace/the-nowhere-men---1969) the amp has received regular care and maintenance. There are two holes punched in the back of the amp; likely a result of Marshall's factory process as they started adding extra output jacks towards 1970. These holes have been plugged with brass caps and have no impact on the sound or playability of the amp.

We put this plexi head through it's paces and it is ready to get back on stage or studio. Demo videos don't properly capture the unbridled power pumping through a cabinet when the Volume goes past 3, but if you're in the area, feel free to come in and try it out. Comes with a modified 3-prong power cable.

Serial Number:  SL/2278

Condition: Excellent
