Cosmetically, it presents in excellent condition, with average to below-average wear and some checking throughout. Structurally, it is in excellent shape, with no cracks, breaks, or repairs.

As an instrument, it delivers the distinctive range that made the early Custom so special. The original soapbar P90 and Alnico V "Staple" pickup offer everything from articulate, biting bridge tones to warm, clear neck sounds, with the original potentiometers helping preserve the authentic response and character of this early Les Paul.
