For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1959 Fender Stratocaster.
Just in from the Nashville Amigos Guitar Show is this all-original (right down to the screws) 1959 Fender Stratocaster. Aside from the fact that it's is in excellent condition, it sounds phenomenal. Its potentiometers date to late November of '59 and it bears the right combination of specs that collectors and players both desire from this transition period, including a two-tone sunburst finish, a slab Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, Leo's revolutionary synchronized tremolo, clay dots, a Spaghetti logo, and a three-ply mint-green guard.
Cosmetically, this Strat shows only modest play-wear and light weather checking. There are some minor scratches and dings here and there, but nothing concerning, and the guitar's structural integrity is excellent.
This Strat has just enough patina that you won't feel bad about actually playing it out or in the studio, where it would be a recording workhorse. With its original black-bottom pickups and a familiar control layout, this guitar's tone does not disappoint. It still bears its factory three-way switch and offers up pure Strat quack and chime for days.
