'50s-Inspired S-Style Partscaster w/ Fender CS Bird's-eye Maple Neck

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1950s-inspired partscaster, sourced from the collection of our late friend Doug Phillips, a respected luthier from Norfolk, VA. Doug was a true tone connoisseur who assembled, owned, and maintained these guitars as exemplary instruments, and this custom build stands as a thoughtfully executed, professional-grade example.
This S-style partscaster channels the understated elegance and clarity of Fender’s 1950s golden era, featuring an aged blue finish (Daphne or Sonic) over an alder body of likely Allparts origin. Paired with a premium Fender Custom Shop bird’s-eye maple neck carved to a comfortable soft V profile, and topped with a single-ply pickguard, the result is a tasteful, vintage-leaning instrument that feels immediately familiar in hand.
Sonically, this guitar delivers the articulate, glassy response associated with late-’50s Stratocasters, enhanced with modern reliability. A set of Kinman noiseless pickups provides classic Strat chime and warmth without the hum, making this an excellent choice for players who want vintage tone with contemporary performance. Hardware is anchored by a Fender vintage-style synchronized tremolo, keeping the feel and response true to the era while remaining stable and expressive.
This partscaster comes with a Fender hardshell case.
