For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this striking 2018 National NRP-B Tricone reissue in Black Rust finish, featuring upgraded inlays and a headstock laminate.

Built with National’s Duolian-style steel body and outfitted with the classic three-cone "tricone" resonator system, this instrument delivers the rich, complex overtones and powerful projection that have made tricones a staple of Delta and country blues. It’s a true solo blues machine, offering exceptional sustain, balance, and that unmistakable metallic shimmer only a National can provide.

The brass body measures 14" wide and 3 1/8" deep, contributing to its authoritative yet nuanced voice. At 8 lbs 1 oz, it has a substantial, solid feel without being cumbersome. The 25 5/8" scale length pairs with a comfortable 1 13/16" nut width and a medium-full soft V neck profile, measuring .92" at the first fret and .97" at the seventh fret. The ebony fretboard features a 16" radius and jumbo frets for smooth bending and articulate fretting. The adjustable truss rod functions properly, the neck relief is straight, and the action is dialed in at a fast, spot-on 3/32" on the bass side and 1/16" on the treble side at the 12th fret. It’s currently strung with 12–54 light gauge strings.

Additional features include a maple saddle with aluminum bridge, National’s 3x tricone cone setup, and a mahogany neck that complements the instrument’s dynamic tonal range. The guitar is in Near Mint condition, serial number 22234, and comes housed in its original National hard case.

A beautifully executed modern reissue that captures the spirit and sound of a pre-war style tricone, ready for stage, studio, or front-porch blues.
