For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 2012 Collings 01A (Adirondack top) in sunburst sans pickguard.
This little Collings is built to the same exacting standards as all Collings owing to the Heritage of pre-war Martins. It was ordered by its original owner from whom we bought it with a sunburst top & no pickguard & it is in virtually new condition with the original strings. Near-mint!
Borrowed from Collings website:
01 With the exception of the Baby, the 0 is our smallest guitar and is offeredwith the same shorter scale found on the 12-fret 00. Although measuring only13.5 inches in width (smaller than a typical classical guitar), the Collings 0 has tone and volume that belies its first impression as being less than full-sized. It can double as a travel guitar or a small OM, performing both roles equally well. The same neck and woods options offered with larger Collings models are available on the 0 as well, giving players an almost infinite range of tonal possibilities.
Our 2012 Collings 01A is a ridiculously good sounding guitar. This is Collings’ smallest 0 size with a 24 7/8 inch scale over Mahogany and Adirondack Spruce. This 01A might be small, but its like a small dog with a big dog attitude, having the crisp response that put Collings on the guitar map in the first place. Soft V neck, and overall lightweight construction lend themselves to hours of enjoyment. Topped off with Waverley tuners, bone nut & saddle, Tortoloid-matching bindings and pickguard; all wrapped up in a TKL hardshell case.
Perfect for fingerpicking blues or singer accompaniment, this Collings 01A bears up handsomely under a pick as well.
