For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1985 PRS pre Standard
When Paul Reed Smith burst onto the guitar scene in 1985, the guitar world was set ablaze by the beauty and craftsmanship of the Annapolis Maryland built PRS. Two models were offered, one the Custom with its mahogany neck and body and gorgeous flamed maple top and the all mahogany PRS Guitar, which later became know as the Standard. Both guitars featured Brazilian Rosewood fingerboards. PRS collectors refer to these early examples as pre Standards.
This is an extraordinary example of PRS's first year in production and in fact this is the 299th guitar to leave the Virginia Avenue factory in Annapolis. This guitar is in spectacular condition and features a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, bird inlays, Schaller "S" tuners, first generation T&B pickups, cocked Wah Wah rotary and a lovely midnight blue finish. This uncirculated example is in collector condition but it also plays and sounds amazingly!
