1985 PRS Custom 24

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1985 PRS Custom 24.
One of the earliest Custom 24s made, this 1985 model is a good example of the craftsmanship that earned PRS the reputation it enjoys today. It features a maple top with lovely figuring complemented by a Cherry Sunburst finish, dual humbuckers, a "sweet switch" (which triggers a passive filter for a more vintage voice), master volume, and a five-way pickup selector pot that, in addition to the typical configurations, integrates coil-splitting for positions two and four. This particular Custom 24 also shows the much-discussed hand-drawn "star" in the neck pickup cavity, which was Mike Deely's signature touch back when he was PRS's woodshop manager.
Cosmetically, this guitar Custom 24 is virtually new. There are a few almost indiscernible marks here and there, but nothing noticeable in the way of dings or scratches and certainly no cracks or breaks. The only noteworthy wear is along the lower back corner of the bridge, which is honest blemishing from trem use. Additionally, the bridge itself shows a modest patina. Otherwise this Custom 24 is clean, clean, clean.
