For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1968 Rickenbacker 366/12 Convertible.
Convertible Rickenbackers don't come along everyday, so it's a treat to have this '68 366/12 in the shop. Essentially, it's a Rick 360/12 with some obvious extra hardware: a “converter comb” that turns a 12-string into a 6-string at the flick of a wrist. While not as practical as Rickenbacker had envisioned (their original ads called them "the most versatile guitar[s] ever made"), convertible models such as this 366 have since become collector's items.
This particular example is in excellent shape. It's all-original, featuring those classic, lower-output "toaster" pickups, a familiar control layout, and the iconic "R" tailpiece. Cosmetically, the mapleglo finish has been cared for down the years and subsequently has held up well, with hardly any play-wear to be found. It comes with its original case, which was slightly modified with foam to better secure the instrument in transit (as photographed).
