For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1968 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop.

This Goldtop Les Paul is 100% original and in very good condition. With pots dating to November 1967, it was among the first made by Gibson after they reintroduced the model. It also displays other early features that are highly desirable among collectors, most notably the "small" headstock, no volute, a one-piece body, and a one-piece neck. With dual P90s that harken back to Muddy Waters and the like, this guitar absolutely barks, and would be perfect in a smoky blues club.

Overall, the top is fairly clean, with some greening near the pickup switch and treble side of the pickguard and bridge, moderate weather checking, a few scratches, and one ding in the binding down by the jack. The back displays a prominent area of buckle rash through the finish. The back of the neck shows some wear, particularly through the fifth fret, but this doesn't hinder playing. You'll be hard pressed to find an early '68 with a clean top like this, not to mention one that sounds and plays amazingly.
