For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1965 Gibson ES-125TDC.
Just in on consignment is this clean 1965 ES-125TDC (or TCD as the body stamp says). This guitar was a one-owner until a few years ago, when the consignor purchased it. Now it's time to thin the herd, which is great news if you're a player in need of a fantastic instrument or a collector looking for a classic Gibson.
An early '65 model, this ES-125 is 100% original with the 1 11/16" nut width desirable to pros and collectors alike. Furthermore, it's pretty dang clean. The most notable imperfections are a crack at the input jack, which we've chosen not to address at this time because it seems stable, and a blemish on the back of the headstock, possibly from a decal. Otherwise, there's only faint play-wear and weather-checking throughout and the sunburst finish is much more vibrant than other examples we've seen. For those who like mojo, we've left the original owner's electric tape on the bottom side of the P90s. The pickup covers aren't cracked, so this was likely done to prevent rubbing on the pickguard.
From a player's standpoint, it's hard to ask for much more of a jazz or blues guitar. The factory dogear P90s have such warmth and character, the set-up is spot-on thanks to an aftermarket TOM bridge (the original's in great shape and is included with the case), and the whole vibe is just right. It comes with its original red-lined chipboard case and Gibson hang tag.
