For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1960 Fender Jazzmaster.
The Jazzmaster was Fender's top-of-the-line offering at the time, and found popularity in the hands of surf rock guitarists in its day and later became the tool of choice for many underground musicians in the '80s and '90s. This 1960 Jazzmaster is in great shape with a few unique features for the year. Most noticeably, the finish is a three-tone sunburst with a less pronounced orange burst, giving the finish more of the two-tone look of the early 1950's. The neck is also noticeably early '60s with a nice medium C profile, capped with a slab rosewood board and clay dot inlays. This guitar has an extra string tree hole which was filled in and a crack in the pickguard. Additionally, it has new pots, as well as a new nut and a refret, but is otherwise original with the original nut and frets in the guitar's case.
As a player, this Jazzmaster is stellar! Fender necks of the early 1960's are known for being some of the best Fender has offered and this Jazzmaster's neck fits the bill. The dual Jazzmaster pickups have a clear, chiming tone similar to a P-90 but with a more articulate top-end. Comes with the original brown tolex case.
