For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1958 Fender Telecaster.

This 1958 is quite the Tele. It's all-original right down to the solder joints, featuring a lightweight ash body that shows some earnest play-wear and weather checking, and a lightly-flamed maple neck with just the right amount of break-in, as well as the original frets, which still have life in them. This Telecaster is among the first to sport a top-loading bridge, as well as the D-shaped neck profile introduced in '58, which is a good middle ground between the earlier, bulkier U-shaped and the later, thinner C-shaped profiles.

It's hard not to fall in love with a guitar that has this much character, from the ash grain peeking through that transparent white finish to the favorite-jeans feel of the blocky Tele body and palindromic serial number (29592). You know just by looking how good it's gonna sound—and boy it truly does. Like any good Tele, it can handle anything from "Autumn Leaves" to "Zombie," with an iconic cutting, twangy lead tone, powerful mids, and a neck pickup that, though it requires some finesse, can yield rich, bass-y jazz sounds for days. This guitar will serve the needs of the collector and the player alike, and will be a huge addition for both.
