1956 Gibson J-200
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1956 Gibson J-200
This guitar was a luthier project. We bought this guitar in pieces; The neck was off and the body had been re-topped. Our in-house luthier, Taras Andre, carefully aged the finish on the top. Using only nitrocellulose lacquer, he added just the right amount of color into the clear coat to create a very natural, smoky aged finish. He then reset the neck, planed the fingerboard, and refretted the fingerboard, and this guitar came alive. This is one of the best sounding J-200s we have had in awhile. It is very loud, but the boomy bass does not overpower the chimey trebles.
Comes with the original brown Lifton case.
Serial Number: A24579
