1947 Gibson LG-3 "Lucky"

Garrett Park Guitars

This guitar is in our Hall of Fame Collection and is no longer available for purchase.

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1947 Gibson LG-3

We got this guitar in a sad condition. It had a headstock repair, the neck was coming off and it had been poorly stained a walnut color. Something about this guitar was intriguing, and it got the nickname Lucky around the shop . Slowly but surely, Taras (our luthier) brought it back, regluing braces, resetting the neck, crack repair, cleaning up the headstock repair and adding finish on the back of the neck, as well as cleaning up & buffing the finish and installing a set of new Kluson 3 on a plate tuners. Though Gibson never shipped LG-3s in this color we find it to be visually appealing, but the real story is the tone and playability. Rich and woody, resonant and responsive, Lucky is a joy to play and hold and It weighs in right at 4 lbs! Comes with a new hard-sided gig bag.

 Condition: Restored, Player Vintage
