For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1952 Gibson Les Paul Model "Goldtop" and BR-9 Amplifier combo.

One of the guitars that helped to start Rock & Roll, the '52 Gibson Les Paul was one the most important and seminal guitars ever made. A collaboration of then superstar Les Paul, Gibson president Ted McCarty and Gibson factory manager Ted Huis. As groundbreaking as it was, the new model from Gibson needed the help of Les Paul's endorsement to gain popularity. Constructed from Mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard the first "Pauls" had P-90s, and a trapeze tailpiece & these earliest examples bore no serial number.

This lovely set was purchased on layaway at Jenkins Music in Joplin MO and the receipt and layaway record are still with the guitar. The amp has been recently serviced and sound great (old parts are included), it is missing the handle though. The guitar has a  stress fracture that did not break the headstock but is visible from both the veneer side and the back, it occurred in transit to its second owner from who we purchased it. It is stable and was played this way for years. This guitar sounds amazing with two strong P-90s and is truly a wonderful piece for the collector or player.
