1967 Fender Telecaster, Olympic White

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1967 Fender Telecaster in Olympic White.

Just in are two nearly identical '67 Telecasters, bought new in '67 by the same person. If only guitars could talk.

This '67 Telecaster was extensively used by its previous owner and for good reason, its plays and sounds great. It has pearl dots rather than the pre-CBS style clay ones, an off-white guard and the neck profile differs slightly, but this lightweight Telecaster is essentially no different from any Telecaster made in the last two or three years of Leo Fender’s ownership.

The fingerboard is a veneer of rosewood over a well broken in lacquered maple neck that instantly feels comfortable, like sliding your hand into your old baseball glove. It has a fresh fret job with OEM style frets & a new nut by RS Guitarworks. The Neck pickup was rewound by Lindy Fralin. The neck is stamped and dated as September 1967.

The Olympic White Finish was available in 1967 as a special order and is a custom color.

The wear is extensive, yet natural and dare we say graceful, with some of the finish missing in the spots you'd expect from player wear. These two guitars came from the original owner (he had two) and he engraved his Drivers license number onto the neck pickup & elsewhere.
