1964 Fender Stratocaster

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1964 Fender Stratocaster.
This L-series Strat is a real survivor. Beyond its 60 years' worth of play-wear, someone routed the control cavity to accommodate an aftermarket pickup between the middle and neck positions (an active pickup it seems, judging by the other rout, which is just about the size of a 9V battery); there are two screw holes in the guard near the bridge; the Fender "spaghetti" headstock decal is clipped; and it was refretted by Glaser Instruments of Nashville. (Our pricing reflects all of this.)
This is certainly player-grade vintage. Fortunately, it's a great player. With the original black bottom pickups (dated to May 1964), pots (November 1963), and five-way switch, this Stratocaster has all the iconic Fender chime you could ever want. And for all that wear, the factory sunburst finish is still vibrant enough to turn heads.
