With a 34" scale length and PJ pickup configuration, the Yamaha TRBX174 is a great bass for beginners or for pros that need a backup bass. The 10" radius fingerboard is incredibly smooth and facilitates ease of play. The mahogany body provides great sustain and the pickups give plenty of 'oomf' on the low end from the P pickup and better treble response from the bridge J pickup.
