For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1968 Fender Coronado II.
Just in is this beautiful Antigua Burst Coronado II from 1968. The very un-Fender like instrument was designed by Roger Rossmeisl, who had previously also designed instruments for Rickenbacker, but who went on to create numerous models for Fender, in an attempt to capitalize on the increasing popularity of semi-acoustic guitars following the high-profile use of hollow-bodied instruments. The Coronado with Antigua bursts are becoming more and more popular as well. Countless players have enjoyed the feel and tone of the Fender Coronado II including Elvis Presley, Jack White, Charlie Pride, and Jimmie Vaughn. At some point in this Coronado's lifetime the pickguard was removed.
