Towards the end of the CBS era Fender under the leadership of Bill Shultz Fender became to recreate some of their best models from days gone by. One of the first was the American Vintage Reissue (AVRI) '62 Stratocaster. These were very well received and continue to be strong sellers for Fender now.
This Strat was made in the old Fullerton California factory. It has been played but for good reason. It has the Strat tone in spades and is lightweight and resonant. It has been refretted but all else is original. The 5-way pickup selector switch has been installed. It has the usual assortment of dings but was aged naturally & looks amazing.
