For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1963 Fender Stratocaster in Blonde.

There are very few things in the guitar world that are cooler than a see through ash bodied blonde Stratocaster with a figured Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.

Usually done over ash, the blondes go way back in the Stratocaster timeline and '50s icon Mary Kay's own Strat was blonde with gold parts & a maple neck and is the dream of many collectors.

The blonde finish was a custom color that could only be special ordered by a customer through a dealer. Not to be confused with opaque olympic white the blonde color was translucent & showcased the figure in the body,.

98755  is 100% original and features the spaghetti logo, mint green pickguard, original untouched electronics, bridge cover, tremolo bar, strap and its original rough brown Tolex.

Inspection report:

This Fender Stratocaster in very good original condition was built in Fullerton, CA in 1963. It has had no structural cracks, finish work or wood repairs. The body Finish shows very light weather checking and is in a clean, lightly played condition. There is some finish flaking on the upper cutaway tip around the strap button and as well on the upper edge/ side of the body. The neck shows little to no weather checking and shows minimal playwear overall. The original frets on the Brazilian rosewood laminate fretboard are in very good condition showing no divits or excessive play wear. The neck carve is a standard full ’63 C shape and is dead straight. This of course has the clay dots on the fretboard and spaghetti logo on the headstock. The nut appears original has no issues and rings clear open on all strings. The mint green pickguard, backplate, pickup covers, switch tip and knobs appear to be correct and original to this guitar. They are in very good to excellent condition. The mint pickguard shows the typical shrinkage but has no cracks. The backplate has two small corners missing around the screw heads. All pickups, pots, 3-way switch and wiring are original to this guitar. The pot codes are 304-6305 on 250k audio pots. All solder joints are original and untouched. The pickups read 5.2 (neck) 5.4 (middle) and 5.5 (bridge). All hardware (tuners, bridge, strap buttons, and jack) appear as well to be original to this instrument. The original brown tolex case is in excellent condition as well as the original strap, ashtray cover and trem arm included.

This is, quite simply, an exceptional example of a clean, original, highly sought after custom finish (see through blonde on ash body) 1963 Fender Stratocaster with all the desirable pre-CBS appointments.
