1945 Martin 0-17

Martin

This guitar is in our Hall of Fame Collection and is no longer available for purchase.

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1945 Martin 0-17

This 0-17 is one amazing guitar. We brought it into our shop needing a bit of work. Our on-site luthier, Taras Andre, reset the neck using hide glue, repaired the X brace, reglued the bridge, reglued the fingerboard to the neck, cut a new nut, and replaced the first two frets (with period-correct brass frets). He also cut a new saddle, leveled and recrowned the frets, and set the guitar up, and now it plays like a dream. We also changed the tuners, as the guitar came with some old Harmony-style tuners. These are the brand-new Kluson Prestige tuners, that fit perfectly into where the old open-back Klusons would have gone. We aged them to match the patina of this 73 year old guitar.

This old Martin has made grown men giggle with excitement when they pick it up and strum a chord. It is perfect for anyone searching for inspiration in their own music, or for anyone who loves old Martin guitars!
