The Strat Plus was introduced in the mid-80s, offering players an upgraded strat model from the American Standard, fitted with its new lace-sensor gold pickups, a roller nut, and Fender's TBX tone control. The Strat Plus offered players a more tuning-stable stratocaster, with more versatility.

This particular year marked the 40th anniversary of the Stratocaster, and this guitar features a 40th Anniversary badge on the headstock, as well as an engraved back plate.

Comes with the original hardshell case.
