For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1952 Gibson J-45.
Just in is this vibey 1952 J-45. Newly restored, this thing sounds terrific: warm and rich with a natural compression that lends itself well to fingerstyle and flat pick alike. It's a real singer's guitar, not overly bright or overpowering, though it does have that classic slope-shoulder bite when pushed.
Before we acquired this, it had been expertly refretted, and our luthier completed the restoration with the following repairs. There were a number of loose and broken braces, two top cracks, two back cracks, and one crack in the fingerboard extension, but all were addressed correctly and with care. It arrived with an aftermarket, taller bridge that we chose not to replace because it's well made and ensures good neck angle for the future. Our luthier said the neck appears to have been reset in the past and is good to go. The pickguard, Kluson tuners, and binding are all original.
It comes with its original hardshell case.
