Hendrix-Inspired S-Style Partscaster

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this Jimi Hendrix-inspired partscaster.

This S-style partscaster features a subtle three-tone sunburst body of unknown origin, a maple Allparts neck with a large, reverse headstock, and a custom loaded mint green pickguard from WD Music. The result is a powerful juxtaposition of pre- and post-CBS styles that ensure this S-style will stand out onstage.

It will also stand out sonically, thanks to the Kinman pickups, voiced to offer the warm-but-glassy, agile sound of a late '50s/early '60s Strat. Because they're technically a southpaw's pups thrown in a righty's guitar, (causing a magnet-to-string mismatch), you will get the same sort of tonal idiosyncrasies that were at the heart of Jimi's Strat sound from Are You Experienced? to Band of Gypsys. Other components include a Wilkinson vintage Strat-style vibrato (arm included) and 250k pots from 1999.

This partscaster comes with a robust, classic Fender-style hardshell case. 

Worth nothing is that this guitar came from the collection of our friend Doug Phillips (RIP), a luthier from Norfolk VA. Doug was a tone connoisseur who owned and maintained these guitars as they were excellent examples. Each of these instruments are superb in their own way.
