For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1980s Lowden S5.
The S5 pairs a cedar top with mahogany back and sides, producing warmth, sensitivity, and rich harmonic detail. Its jumbo body, rosewood appointments, and tortoise pickguard give the model an understated elegance.
This example, built in Japan during Lowden's S. Yairi era, is a particularly inviting instrument. The rounded V neck has a familiar, Golden Age feel, and the large body is surprisingly comfortable when played seated or standing. Cosmetically, it is in very good condition, with below-average play-wear throughout. Structurally, it is excellent, with no cracks and a bridge reglue performed in 2019.
This Lowden S5 comes with its original hardshell case.
